What are Intrinsically safe barriers?

An intrinsically safe barriers, also commonly referred to as intrinsically safe galvanic isolators or I.S. interfaces; are devices used to interface hazardous area process signals with safe area control equipment. PR electronics' selection of intrinsically safe barriers are designed to comply with global standards and directives including ATEX, IECEx, FM and UL.
