Glaston Finland Oy chose LAPP as its comprehensive cable supplier. The decision was not based solely on price. What ultimately influenced the choice was the ability to act as a full-service supplier for machine building.

When Glaston Finland began looking for a comprehensive supplier for cable deliveries, it was natural to start discussions with a familiar partner. The advantage was having a well-known principal as the cable supplier, which felt like a safe choice – there was no need to jump on board with an unknown manufacturer. There were several selection criteria for choosing a full-service supplier, but one decisive factor was the ability to meet the set cost-level target.

"The cooperation has started very well. However, we are still at an early stage. As order volumes grow, delivery accuracy and content correctness will become even more important. That’s why it’s crucial to refine processes at this point, and this requires open dialogue. For Glaston, LAPP supplied cables and wires for the control and electrical systems of glass processing machines, including heat-resistant cables developed for demanding conditions, as well as UL MTW-approved wires and cables for the US market in compliance with NFPA79.

"Our service covers the delivery of cables and wires cut to length and packaged. Cables are delivered project by project according to the customer’s production schedule.
