The new programmable PR electronics 4179B limit switch unit brings added value to PR’s 4000 series by offering an even more versatile solution for monitoring AC limit values. This new model replaces the previous 2231 and, together with the 4131, forms a more comprehensive product family.

The 4179B is designed to meet a wide range of industrial needs, including overload monitoring, substation monitoring, and backup power systems. Its high EMC performance and excellent signal‑to‑noise ratio ensure reliable operation even in demanding environments.

Easy Programming and Flexible Input Ranges

The device can be programmed effortlessly using the 4500 series display or the PPS application.
The 4179B supports a variety of programmable measurement ranges and relay functions, such as window, trip value, power‑on activation, on/off delay, error indication, and latch. Input ranges include 0–300 VAC RMS and 0–5 AAC RMS, with a frequency range of 40–400 Hz. The device features a universal power supply operating between 21.6…253 VAC or 19.2…300 VDC.
