LAPP supplies cables and other essential components for Proventia’s testing systems, which are used to develop zero-emission mobility solutions.

The Finnish company Proventia Oy manufactures true future technology. The company’s testing systems are used worldwide for testing electric vehicles, powertrains, battery packs, and hydrogen fuel cells.

Proventia’s systems accelerate technological development and help bring new technologies, battery products, and hydrogen fuel cell solutions to market faster. A significant customer group for these testing systems includes leading names in the battery and automotive industries.

Top quality is essential

In testing systems, it is crucial that components are of the highest quality. For example, when battery packs are tested under extreme temperatures, the components must withstand temperature variations between -40°C and +85°C.

In addition to car manufacturers, Proventia’s customers include research and testing institutes as well as manufacturers of batteries and heavy machinery.

For several components, such as LAPP cables and Werma light towers, Proventia relies on the products we supply.

"LAPP cables are a perfect fit for our needs. The cables must be high-quality, durable, and shielded against interference. Cables intended for outdoor use need to be UV-protected, and cables delivered to the United States must also have UL certification," says Tauno-Tuukka Tervonen, Head of Electrical Works at Proventia.

"All deliveries have arrived on time. Even though the pandemic and the crisis in Ukraine caused a global shortage of components and difficulties in sourcing raw materials like copper and plastics, everything has gone smoothly."
