Cable chains are used wherever something needs to be moved, packaged, cut or positioned with precision. They ensure a permanent supply of energy, data or media such as air and water. They have become indispensable in machine tools, filling systems, laser cutting machines, CNC processing machines, press construction and many other applications.

With the help of a cable chain, movements are controlled so that the forces permanently acting on the cable or media hose do not lead to premature damage or failure. The type of movement is an important application parameter. In cable chains for classic applications, the movement is linear, i.e. always along the direction specified by the chain.
