Introducing the new Optris CTi LT pyrometers
Modularity and ease of integration at the core
Optris has launched new CTi LT pyrometers, which serve as the successors to the widely used CT LT series. The new models raise the standard of fixed infrared pyrometry by introducing a more modular and flexible solution for industrial applications.
A key innovation of the CTi LT series is its modular design, allowing sensing heads and electronics units to be freely combined. In practice, any LT electronics box can be paired with any sensing head without compromising accuracy. This simplifies installation, maintenance, and component replacement, especially for machine builders and system integrators.
Improved software and easier setup
The CTi LT comes with the new CompactPlusConnect software, offering a modern interface and enhanced features for configuration and monitoring. In addition, every device now includes a standard USB interface, enabling fast setup and on-site configuration.
The new electronics architecture improves measurement speed and performance while extending the system’s lifecycle. The platform is designed to support future sensing head innovations, making it a long-term investment.
Suitable for demanding environments
The CTi LT series is designed specifically for harsh industrial environments. Its compact infrared sensing head is among the smallest on the market and offers an optical resolution of up to 22:1. The sensors can operate in ambient temperatures of up to 180 °C without additional cooling.
The device uses a thermopile detector and an 8–14 µm spectral range, making it well suited for measuring high-emissivity materials in fixed installations.
Wide connectivity ensures compatibility
The CTi LT offers a broad range of analog and digital outputs, including 4–20 mA, 0–10 V, USB, RS485, ModbusTCP, EthernetTCP, Profibus DP, ProfiNet, IO-link, and Ethernet/IP. These options enable seamless integration into existing control systems and real-time, reliable temperature monitoring.
