BoVersa – An excellent enclosure with innovative cooling and maximum design customization within a standard series.

Boplan’s new BoVersa enclosure system offers flexible, customer‑specific design possibilities, along with a modern look featuring lighting concepts and innovative cooling. The enclosures have been engineered to ensure optimal operating conditions, particularly for the requirements of the Internet of Things (IoT) and embedded systems.

Base, lid, and frame combined as needed

During development, the focus was on both flexibility and functionality. The enclosure consists of a base, lid, and frame, which can be combined as required. In addition to the traditional plastic version, a die‑cast aluminum base with integrated cooling fins and mounting lugs is also available. The open frame is ideal for integrating keypads and displays, while the closed version offers a clean appearance and enables customized design. The parts can be combined in different colours, allowing flexible variation in design, materials, and functionality.

There are four lid options available: black, white, transparent, or translucent. The transparent lid provides visibility into the interior of the enclosure or any installed displays. A transparent or translucent lid also enables photometric design elements, impressive lighting effects, and status signals. By combining enclosure components in different colours – also available as customer‑specific options – and customizing the closed front frame, almost limitless possibilities for modifying the enclosure’s appearance can be achieved.

“The ability to design the front frame completely freely without compromising the enclosure rating is unique for the user. Customers who benefit from this are those who want to give their product a highly individual appearance without investing the time and money required for a fully customized enclosure and associated tooling,” adds Andreas Krömer.

Flexible for a wide range of applications

Another innovation is the advanced cooling technology offered by BoVersa. The symmetrical design of the cooling fins enables optimal airflow in both horizontal and vertical installations.

BoVersa is suitable for handheld applications as well as table‑top, wall, or pole mounting. This means the enclosures provide excellent conditions for IoT and embedded system requirements. In addition, the combination of a metal base and a plastic lid offers the best possible solution for wireless applications where efficient cooling is required.
